RAUL E. RIVERO

CGC, PA, MBA

Raul is a 30 year veteran in the construction industry. A Coral Gables resident, he is a State of Florida licensed General Contractor. His academic journey began at Florida International University’s (FIU) College of Engineering and Design where he majored in Construction Management. Raul received his M.B.A. from FIU.

Raul worked his way up from being a laborer in the field to managing his family’s general contracting firm, Gari Construction Corp. There he worked side by side with his father, Raul Sr., a former bank executive and real estate broker who handled all financing and land acquisitions. Raul was mentored by his uncle, J.J. Gaston Rivero, the architect and GC of the company, in all aspects of construction and real estate development.

As Vice President of Gari Construction Corp, Raul managed and supervised countless remodeling and construction projects, as well as, new home development. His firm helped develop and build much of the residential and multi-family housing needed throughout South Florida and Central Florida during the decades of unprecedented growth. Raul has been there from the 1970s through today to see and be a contributor to the transformation and real estate development of Miami as an international city.

On a personal side, Raul’s family exiled from Cuba in the 1960s and were one of the first Cuban-American contracting firms established in Dade County.
